The most disappointing and stressful...

Liked: Location, cleanliness, very comfortable beds, quiet for location , good city view. Roof Top Bar (Outstanding). The exceptional and professional actions of the Front Office Manager Adrian Santos whose actions turned around what would have been a one star review and an appalling holiday experience .
Disliked: When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that there was a ‘problem’ with our room. After 10 minutes we were informed that our room was ready. On opening the door to the room we found that the room was already occupied by other guests !!! We went back downstairs to the lobby(with cases from floor 28).We were then informed the hotel was ‘Fully Occupied and overbooked for that night’. We were told to wait while the hotel looked into ‘Options’ . After an hour waiting in reception we were told that the ONLY option was that we would have to transfer to another hotel in BROOKLYN for 1 night and come back in the afternoon!!! when the hotel would allocate us the room that we had originally paid for. Just as we were about to leave we were called back to reception and offered the option of 2 single rooms on different floors .As this meant that we did not have to travel across New York with our luggage at 10pm we accepted the offer. The following day we were allocated the room we had originally booked.

Ok

Liked: The staff at the Bar was nice.
Disliked: The hotel room was so small and not worth the price that I paid. I didn’t have a space to keep my luggage inside the room. I had to replace the chair next to my bedroom to be able to keep my suitcase opened on the floor.

Bad

Liked: Honestly we had the worst experience ever. I went back and was checking other guests reviews and seems that what we experienced is the same what others had. First thing when chevking in My god people at the reception are unfriendly and showing unhappy faces. To get to the elevator up or downyou need to wait ages. The room is very tiny we could barely move in it with our suitcases especillay we were 3. The bed is meant for a big American size not for 2 people. Luckly I was tiny and did not squeeze my husband. The photos you see about the roof top is a scam. The bar and the hotel are seperate organisation so you can not access that roof without making reservation at the reception. You can not even go to the 40th or 41 floor unless they unlock the access at the elevator from a personal at the reception if you got a reservation.
Disliked: There are not a single good memory I can think of. Never coming back again. Go to the Holiday in it is around the corner rooms are bigger and people are much nicer. Thank God I spend the first week there.

Excellent stay

Liked: We stayed for 4 nights at Aliz. Location is super convenient everything close by and accessible on foot. Staff is extremely supportive, we got 2 hours early check in. Specially Zack is amazing five star for him.
Disliked: Room size is bit small but i guess everywhere in NYC thats standard.
