Alba hotel
Liked: The room was big. Tha bathroom was huge and we had a walk in wardrobe. The beds were comfy and the room was cleaned each day and fresh towels daily.
Disliked: The decor is a little dated and all the windows are frosted class so it feels a little clostrophobic

Needs maintenance
Liked: Very old/outdated hotel and images do not show that, requires a lot of maintenance. Beds are terrible, toilets were ok tho with good water pressure. The lighting was poor and the location was close to the las ramblas. I believe if it was properly maintained and updated, it would be great.

Not recommended. Be very carefull!
Disliked: Not recommended. Be very carefull! It was chosen for accommodation as a last resort because we couldn’t find anything else.A few words about the area:The "hotel" is located in the area known as the most dangerous in Barcelona, that we unfortunately didn't know. No exaggeration! In the surrounding area there are homeless people and drug users and the smell of urine and garbage is pervasive. Just a little further down, there are traps set up and the narrow side street could be called the "red-light district" – if you can undersand what i mean. So, the location gets a rating of 0.About the hotel:The facilities are unacceptable. The room smelled like a mix of foot odor and cannabis. We passively smoked more than we’ve ever smoked in our entire lives. The balcony, which was supposed to be there, was simply a door with bars instead of a window, and it overlooked an uncovered area that had been turned into a garbage dump. When we opened the window, the atmosphere worsened. There was suffocating heat and there was no way to adjust the heating. There were 3 power outages. If the power goes out in one room, the whole floor loses power. And of course, you must contact the reception either through your personal phone, go there in person, or use the Booking contact form. The room had a small fridge that was moldy. You wouldn't even want to put a sealed bottle inside. The towels were quite small and weren’t changed for the 3-night stay, same for the bed linens. Access to the room is a labyrinth with security issues. The receptionist (Mr) was not very lucid… The worst of all is the cleanliness and something else...The lack of cleanliness wouldn’t be noticeable in a photo. It’s a health hazard! As for the value for money, we can say they’re selling ice to Eskimos. We paid a lot for nothing. What I must mention last and as the most important : even though you’ve already paid, they ask for your bank card and record all its details (number, date, etc.
