If u like things filthy...

Liked: size of room. stayed before
Disliked: freezing baltic room as windows all left open..dirty stained towels. dirty bed sheet on one bedno mattress protectors.lamps full of dust.cups and spoons disgusting and not washed.like thick syrup, lifted one cup and was glued down with the previous persons tea or coffee. holder for tea and coffee all dirty and just gets topped up.milk out of date..it was floating in bits in the coffee I made 3 times in a row. finally got a normal few which then made me sick as out of date!so noisy and everyone standing outside room and reception shouting and smoking. room was next to door so everytime someone went through it banged and vibrates. so not one hope of even 1 minute of sleep.can hear the next room having a shower and flushing the toilet about 75 times during the night. the sink on the bathroom was also taking forever to go down. then brown stuff was left behind!!breakfast was not even cutlery for 2 people on table which could clearly see 2 of us! and warm food. by the time I asked couple of times for things it was taking up more time.last year we had amazing meals here at night and were going to return for food after..we never checked in until around 11.30pm. and got "your no checking in are you.!! "No service really , never even asked if it was enjoyable or if everything was ok... which it was not. it was the worst night I have had in a hotel and after travelling over 4 hours to get there I was extremely disappointed . and would rather have camped outside

Good

Liked: The restaurant and the hotel interior was very nice. The location was very good with easy access to the city of Dunfermline.
Disliked: The room was basic and the bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze. I would like to suggest that they need to install blackout curtains to prevent from strong car park light shining through the bedroom window.

Would not recommend to a...

Liked: The rooms were spacious.
Disliked: The corridors had a very unpleasant smell throughout the building, although the room was fine. The shower, albeit spacious, was very difficult to work and had very little pressure. The room was freezing cold when we first walked in. The breakfast, which we paid to include in our stay, was appalling. We had to use side plates, for the buffet which just about fit my slice of toast & an egg. They were not serving hot drinks as it was ‘too busy’ which was fair enough but then did not top up the cafetières throughout the whole service. When we sat at our table, my place setting had no cutlery, I asked the waitress. After 8 minutes of waiting I had to ask the table next to us for their spare cutlery. A truly unenjoyable breakfast.

Liked: The hotel is lovely, decor inside was beautiful and good car park.Breakfast was lovely and dined here also which was very good.A good comfortable two nights for my wife and myself with very nice staff.
Disliked: Just a minor pointer.Maybe the bread for breakfast should be covered with a set of tongs in place.
