A pleasant quick visit in...

Liked: We loved the features of the hotel, which has been very tastefully converted from a Victorian government offices, especially the cage lift and our enormous room. Bed very comfortable and all amenities as would be expected.
Disliked: One annoying feature was the open wardrobe light was, for some reason, linked to the bathroom light. The scrambled egg for breakfast wasn't necessarily the best we've ever had.

Good stay.

Liked: Yes very much. I love the tartan and Scottish decor, and the art deco lift.
Disliked: The bathroom was looking a bit tired

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Poor

Liked: Not much. It was clean.
Disliked: The biggest issue was that there was no natural ventilation. Windows were locked shut. Either the air conditioning was switched on and making a noise or it was off and the room temperature was too hot. Also excessive noise from the building opposite. The receptionist was not really empathetic. Will try my luck elsewhere before coming back here.

Gorgeous old building. Very comfortable...

Liked: This hotel is in the most magnificent old building, the rooms (Room 203) has high ceilings and lead light windows. Does make it hard to see what the weather is like though
Disliked: The hotel is poorly signed and we we very unsure which building was the hotel and it was only the address that confirmed it. When then saw the very discreet name on the columns. The sink water pressure is poor and we couldn’t get any hot water from the sink, however the shower was brilliant.
