Hotel Description
A friendly family-run hotel located in one of Fife's picturesque coastal villages specializing in fresh fare using local Scottish produce where possible. Real ale is always available on tap and the establishment has once again been included in this year's 'Camra' Good Beer Guide. Although the buildings date back to the 17th century all 16 bedrooms have private bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. Free on street parking is available just across the road and further parking spaces can be found within 328 feet from the hotel. The hotel is an ideal base for touring golf breaks and for visiting Edinburgh which is just 30 minutes by car/rail with the station just one minute's walk away.

Easy access to Edinburgh

Liked: Perfectly situated for access into Edinburgh, regular train service 30 min journey. Parking is at the railway station 3 mins walk or on the road outside, potluck. We were made very welcome on arrival, help with bags, great staff. Fantastic breakfast.
Disliked: The rooms and bathrooms are a bit tired, it is an old building. I felt it was over priced for the standard but I suppose its because its near Edinburgh.

Very Enjoyable Stopover with Dog

Liked: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was clean with powerful hot shower. Location is great, for dog walks. Close to two nice small⁹ beaches and a lovely walk alongside the golf course with great views of the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh to the south. Train station is only 100m away. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of food on the pub / restaurant menu and the food and service was great. Aberdour has a surprisingly good variety of shops - supermarket, cafe, delicatessen, bottle shop, hotel, pub, gift shops, cash point, beach cafe, vintage.........
Disliked: The small hotel car park is used for outdoor seating in the summer. Need to park on street or in the nearby station car park. Not a deal breaker. The blinds on the dormer windows in the upper stable rooms let in a lot of light.
