Liked: It’s good value for money but for a little bit more you can find somewhere not quite as dated. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Room was ok, but tired and old fashioned. Toilet was running water every 15-20 mins all night which was noisy. Room was at top of stairs on landing do noisey with people coming in all times of night.

Disliked: The single bed was very uncomfortable the mattress dipped in the middle.The room hadn't been vacuumed so there was hair and other crumbs on the carpet.I was hoping for a relaxing afternoon and instead I got drilling in the next room as it seems they are doing renovations.Shower head was leaking.

Liked: The staff where lovely and very central to everything in Aberdeen.
Disliked: On arrival we could see that the place was very dated, this wasn't a concern to us but it was so dated that there was not even a lift, we where on the 3rd floor... 3 lengthy flights to climb was not very convenient.The room was again dated but livable. To our horror there was no heating through the night and it was so cold we had to sleep with our coats on, there would have been more heat in a fridge! the heating system was on a timer that we had zero control over.Other small inconveniences: bathroom window wasn't able to fully close which made the bathroom very cold as there was no heating at all in there and this meant having a shower would have been even colder so we just didn't bother. Bathroom door was also not hung correctly and slammed every time it was closed.tv was extremely small and difficult to see.

Liked: Cheap, warm and clean bed.
Disliked: Sort of asylum seekerish hostel, area around the hotel full of druggies. Didn't worry me but might do for some people.
