414 Hotel

Loved the location of this hotel - there was access to everything right down the street. Room was very clean and perfect to fit two people. I would recommend this hotel to everyone :) !

First trip to NY- Female...

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. The room and restroom were clean and cozy with ice cold AC and windows to see outdoors. Location is within a few minutes, less than 10 walking distance to shops, restaurants, and Time Square activities! Benches on the porch front of the hotel make for a nice touch to sit outside and relax. The hotel provides excellent security! Each room has a unique code security system to access the rooms, and the front door to walk into the hotel is always locked. You ring a doorbell for staff to recognize you and allow entrance. I really appreciate these safety features. Oh, and there is a safe in each room if needed. There is a lively hookah bar next door if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Disliked: Be aware that there is no elevator to carry up luggage. I packed light, so it wasn't too difficult for me to bring my carry-on suitcase up/down the stairs. Would be nice to have a small microwave in each room. However, a large microwave is available to all guests on the 1st floor for everyone to use.

Do not rent from this...

Liked: We asked for a remote for tv … after waiting on front desk for half our stay for one we were given one that didn’t work. So we asked for another. We waited on that too. When I went down to ask again the front desk (Alisha )said we didn’t need a remote because there was no cable or any local channels to view on tv. Pretty much the tv was just decor. Then we found out that the door to our room didn’t lock. We told Alisha … Alisha told us that the maintence guy would come in 15 mins (it was 11:30 pm and on our way out ) we waited for our taxi outside when in 15 mins her shift was over n she didn’t tell the oncoming shift any of our problems. We came back after 1 am n the door still didn’t lock. We budged a chair under door knob. I did not feel safe or comfortable sleeping under those conditions. The only thing good about the hotel was that it was close to Times Square . I didn’t appreciate how Alisha (front desk) kept lying to us.
