Liked: The room was beautiful, clean and spacious; the bed was just the perfect combination of soft and fluffy yet smooth and firm. Ideal location. Loved the bar, restaurant, and public spaces - felt like I was living in the movie "Giant". Wonderful amenities. Worth the splurge!

Pleasant - 3.4 out of 5

Austin Tue, 3 May 2016

Liked: Bed was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were good. The historical décor was good.
Disliked: There was a musty, sewer like smell half-way through the lobby. Fortunately, it did not affect the accommodations in the room. Overall, it was too pricey for one night stay.

William Fri, 22 April 2016

Liked: Staff was courteous, professional, and anxious to anticipate my needs. Ambience added to the experience. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Five course chef selection on the menu in the restaurant was to die for.
Disliked: Drapes did not fully cover the windows making it very bright in the room at night. There was no mirror except in the bathroom. I had a special occasion in the restaurant and asked for a couple of things that were agreed to but not done. They did comp the appetizers we ordered which was very nice.
