With a friendly staff that was helpful, a lovely location, beautiful grounds, and comfortable room, we will definitely be back for a stay at the Charlie West Hollywood.

Liked: The location was perfect for walking to many places around Hollywood. Also, the room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, and the attached deck was perfect for enjoying the weather.
Disliked: Not really.

Charming, comfortable, great location, and...

Liked: Great location, comfortable spacious and charming bungalow and overall grounds, onsite parking. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff was attentive and resolved a couple of minor issues immediately.
Disliked: Just that it’s expensive. Would love to go back but probably won’t anytime soon because of cost. Unfortunately I booked through Booking.com instead of directly through them so had to pay for parking. But given the location, size of bungalow, full kitchen, in-room laundry, the cost is not unreasonable.

Disliked: As other reviews have detailed, the two women who work at the check in are absolutely awful, they also charge a non-refundable pet deposit of 250 which is mentioned nowhere on Booking.com, and as another guest mentioned, even if you tell them ahead of time they’ll only notify you at check in. We were originally given a very run down room next to the road (completely does not look like photos) and a loud buzzing gate. We asked if there were other rooms, and were given a “free” upgrade (that we never asked for and would have paid for it, but gratefully accepted). When we went to check out, my fiancé was scolded for supposedly parking incorrectly. This was not only untrue, but no one called or left a note underneath our door, if they did, we most certainly would have done whatever was asked of us. No missed calls and never have had an issue with a hotel unable to get ahold of us. When my fiancé stood up for herself after being unfairly scolded, the front desk very rudely said “Well I hope you liked your free upgrade.” When I confronted her for how she spoke to my fiancé, she played dumb. Back to Hotel SVB 850 or The Prospect Hotel for us, where hospitality exists and the rooms are much nicer, I highly recommend them both to avoid interacting with these women who repeatedly treat their hotel guests with disdain, rudeness and complete hostility, lacking any hospitality skills whatsoever. So trashy!
