Pros: It was a beautiful building not far from Michigan Ave. Lots to do close by which turned out to be a good thing since the weather was awful.
Cons: The front desk clerk wasn't very friendly and in fact was quite rude. Edward was his name. He even lied and said to upgrade our room would be $10/night but tried to get me to sign a form agreeing to $30/night!

Pros: I reserved a superior king room and was upgraded to a suite for the same price. The staff was wonderful and the bar is one of the best places to hang out. We will stay here every time we visit Chicago.

Pros: Nicely appointed room, comfortable bed.
Cons: The bed squeaked when you moved or sat on it. I asked for a different room or solution. None given. Over 35 min. wait for expensive $67valet making us miss our brunch reservation. Temp authorizations held duplicate room charges for days on bank account

The doormen made it for me. They were super nice getting us cabs and opening the doors for us both on the cars and to the hotel. Made us feel very welcomed. Overall the hotel seemed small to me. Kind of dated elegance though. The rooms were up to date, it just seemed like the decor in general outside of the rooms was 80's or so. The restaurant in the hotel never was open as far as I know. The walls were PAPER THIN. you could hear the toilet flushing next door. You could also hear everyone walking by outside the room. Ice machine only on 2 of the 14 floors

Pros: The bed was nice and soft, the blanket was perfect. bathroom shower was very fun.
Cons: About 6 pm somebody opened our door and I said "hello" from the bed. They said nothing but left. I went to the door no one was even in the hall. When I called the service desk he seemed uninterested in helping. He was very dismissive. PAPER THIN WALLS

Pros: Comfy room and the bar in the lobby-it was more like enjoying a cocktail in the living room than a bar atmosphere. Perfect!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Clean rooms, great staff! Very accommodating. You can park at the John Hancock center and get cheaper parking if you don't mind walking a block.

One tip about parking - if you pay to stay in the hotel valet lot, it's $65/day. The upside is that you can charge this directly to your room. If you have the luxury of being able to pay cash, I suggest parking your car in the lot directly across the street the hotel for only $42/day! It wasn't a big deal to us, but we stayed for 5 days, so it was an extra $100 total. The truth of the matter is though, the hotel is in such a prime location, that we did not use our car even once that entire week. We were able to walk 90% of the places, and we found that a $6-$10 cab ride was more cost and time effective than trying to fight with our GPS to drive our own car and find/pay for alternative parking on top of that! We were there on a Sunday - Thursday for our honeymoon, and we could not have had a better experience. They have 24/7 housekeeping, the friendliest and most helpful staff we have found of any hotel we have ever stayed in - and we travel frequently! The price was incredibly reasonable - and when you consider the location (equal distance between the water front and Michigan Ave - only 3 blocks in either direction) the price is amazing! This was our first time staying at the Millennium, and we already have plans to go back in a few months. We have shared the name of this hotel with our friends and family, and will go out of our way to stay here again. Can't wait!

Pros: There is not enough space allowed to mention all of the wonderful people we met and highest level of hospitality we experienced @ the Knickerbocker. We couldn't have been treated better. We'll go out of our way to stay here every future trip to Chicago!
Cons: The only downside we could find was that there are not ANY microwaves in the entire hotel. We had large amounts of leftovers & unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy them because we had no way of reheating. Hated wasting all that food. Also, NO room service!!
