Originally opened in 1927 as the Davis Hotel, this Chicago landmark has 306 rooms on 14 floors. Rooms have 40-inch, flat-panel TVs and luxuriously soft beds with pillowtop mattresses, 400-thread-count Frette linens, down comforters and fluffy pillows. The granite countertops and rainfall showerheads provide more luxe touches. You can connect with in-room Wi-Fi, available for a fee. The on-site American bistro serves breakfast and lunch, and there's also a martini bar. A fitness center and business center, both open 24 hours a day, help guests stay on track. Located at the north end of Magnificent Mile, the Millennium Knickerbocker is a stone's throw from the Mile's high-end boutiques. The CTA's Chicago Red Line is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Walk four minutes south to the open-air skywalk at the John Hancock Observatory or stroll a few minutes southeast to Navy Pier. Very nice hotel and a bargain for the price. Staff was wonderful and couldn't have accommodated us more. Definitely on our stay again list.

Pros: location
Cons: It was stuffy in the room and no way to turn on the AC. I also tried to reserve my room online and use the 5% first time discount but it kicked me out of the site numerous times. I then used a hotel booking service.

Pros: The location is really great, the room was absolutely clean and comfortable.
Cons: The people at the reception have provided wrong and confusive information when we asked them to book a taxi to the airport, they told us that we shall stop a taxi in front of the main entrance and that there are a lot of taxis waiting all the time, they told us that there are no traffic jams to the airport and 45 minutes will be enough. It turned out that it's a really big deal to get the taxi, there were no any waiting and the bell boys were trying to get one within half an hour with no success, we ran with all our luggage to Michigan avenue where we found a taxi and the traffic was very tough, we almost missed our plain, running in the last minutes before its departure. Don't believe people at the reception!
