Fair price for what we...
Liked: Great location. Nice ambience in the hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff - above expectations. Kept our bags after checkout was really handy. Liked the lobby/lounge area w shuffleboard and pool table.
Disliked: Bathroom floor between tub & toilet was very dirty and untouched. Lots of dingy spots throughout the room - like dirty handles, spots on the walls, just felt not thoroughly cleaned. Elevators were very slow and not sufficient for the patron traffic during our Sat night stay. We had to take the stairs several times and thankfully were only on floor 4 - but with a bad knee, it was painful.

It was perfect!
Liked: The early 20th century elegance of the Magnolia reminded me of Paris hotels we have stayed at. Yet, the property was much better maintained and spacious than those in Paris. I love that they have chosen not to change the furniture and decor from its 50’s-60’s heyday. Only the upholstered chaise showed signs of wear, but to be expected since it is the main seating if watching TV. The dinner at the on site restaurant was delicious, offered good choices and was convenient. The location is a 15 min walk to the Arch and sports stadium, and Randy at the front desk could not have been nicer and helpful with all questions. He also sought us out in the billiard room to announce fresh baked cookies and milk were ready, a custom at the Magnolia. You cannot go wrong with this hotel choice, unless your preference is for modern decor.

Kindness from staff makes everything...
Liked: The staff were very friendly from getting checked in to the bar/dining area. The room was clean and they had pool that my partner and I could play. As well, free cookies and milk at night.
Disliked: We stayed in 1712 and our view was of air conditioners. It didn’t really bother us and everything else made the experience better.
