I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good things about this hotel were the staff and walking distance to Central Park.

Liked: The staff and the location. The location was within walking distance to the Metropolitan Opera House.
Disliked: There were cockroaches in our room - disgusting!

Liked: Spending time in NYC with my son!
Disliked: Very small room; elevator so slow we didn't bother; air conditioning was a loud window unit. Occasionally a loud noise would startle me which was from a pipe in the bathroom - not sure what that was all about! And, don't bother going for breakfast, that was a joke! The room is small, hot, with no seating and didn't have anyone refilling things.

I would not recommend this place to a friend. It was dirty and creepy.

Liked: Close to concert venue.
Disliked: Small; not as clean as I would have hoped.

I came to see a concert in Central Park and this hotel was very close and absolutely fits it's purpose. It was not fancy but I was not looking for that anyway.

Liked: Very close to Central Park; clean; nice view from the 14th floor; breakfast OK; nice staff.
Disliked: Rooms and hallways are a bit cramped.

Comfortable stay in a larger...

Liked: We had one of the larger room which we paid extra for and it was worth it for a 5 nights stay. The bed was large and very comfortable. The air con was efficient and easy to use. It was really well located, off central park, next to two subway station (of which one was express), close by to restaurants and bars but in a quieter residential area. Shower was good.
Disliked: It was disappointing to come back to our room on our last evening and find all the lights had been switched on, the mattress had been pulled on one side, visibly to unplug the table lamp and plug it in again on the desk a few steps away. The alarm clock had also been plugged in behind the bed. When we phoned reception, they couldn't explain it. Even though our belongings had not been touched (nothing was missing), we felt violated and confused as the reason why? Totally unexplained.

Clean hotel in an excellent...

Liked: Location right by Central Park ( Strawberry Fields) and Dakota Building. Near to bus and subway stops.
Disliked: Breakfast room a little tight for space, although the food was very good. Only one elevator so sometimes a wait to get to the 10th floor.

Liked: Staff was nice.
Disliked: Elevator was slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww, and my key card i had to go downstairs every day to re program the card. I was on the 8th floor.

Liked: Great location and the staff are very welcoming. The breakfast menu was great and set us up for the day.
Disliked: Some of the decor needed attention
