Liked: No reciprocity with other Holiday Inn Express Hotels. I was mistakenly booked here instead of the W LA one. The good news is - only charged 1 night instead of 3 ($---). Bad news I was exhausted & with my 91 year old mother. We found a better hotel.

Disliked: The location of the hotel was not the best. Has nothing to do with the chain or the staff but the surrounding areas were just not where I wanted to stay.

Disliked: We had stayed 2 days. When we stayed the first day, we could smell aroma and few urine(not sure)in the room. At that time, we were not care about it. However, we were pretty sure it was urine smell on the second day. We were felt bad.

Liked: The location was perfect and near my sons house and had a parking garage attached. Security and the included breakfast was perfect!
Disliked: Didnt realize what a terribly scary part of town my son lives on! There are homeless people everywhere! Even stating fires to keep themselves warm right outside the parking garage.

Liked: Great customer service, felt welcoming, room was great. Ive been here before and I would come again. I like how private it is, you need an access card to get to the rooms.
Disliked: The shower head is not strong enough, maybe replace it. The hot water took forever to turn on in the shower, not enough towels but staff was nice enough to give me more. Need more ice machines, the one on my floor didnt work

Great hot, area is a culture shock.
Liked: The hotel was lovely, staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Beds were great for me, but a friend with a bad back found it a little soft. Loved the choice of soft or hard pillows. Some food options available in the lobby, and breakfast was great.The hotel is near Macarthur Park, part of which is currently fenced off (Oct '22) but a stroll round the part with the lake was lovely. There is another part with a basketball court and playground about 10 mins walk which is quieter and seemed to have less homeless people around.
Disliked: The shower pressure was low.What we weren't expecting was the number of homeless people around the hotel. And a lot of them were on drugs. For us, from the UK, it was a massive culture shock and made us anxious. We had no problems from anyone as we walked round the area and by the 3rd day we were visiting local food places and other parks. It just wasn't expected.
