Disliked: Staff was preoccupied with houskeeping tasks while I was trying to check in and check out. Room lacked a microwave. Price was WAY out of line.

Love the Holiday Inn Express in Charleston. It was close and didn't have to move my vehicle for anything. I go there for Basketball State tournaments. We'll stay there again, just hated that my vehicle was hit in the parking lot.

Liked: Very clean and close to the Charleston Civil Center
Disliked: My truck got hit in the parking lot and the person didn't leave their name,number or address they just drove off.

Lack of housekeeping

Liked: The price was great and it was close off the highway.
Disliked: The first room we were put in had a dirty toilet. We tried to just flush it, but it was clogged. We were put in another room, and the staff was very apologetic and accommodating. The second room had minor issues; the bathroom floor wasn't swept, there was a toenail from neither me nor my husband by the bed, and the fridge had leftover food from the previous occupants.

Worth it

Liked: Cleanliness, comfort, tv, free breakfast, quiet, location, location, location.
Disliked: Tissues and hand soap weren’t refilled before we got there. We ran out pretty quick.

Pleasurable and relaxing.

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, on par with a private restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful, and friendly. Certainly one of the highest quality hotel staff personnel I've dealt with anywhere.
Disliked: the only suggestion I would have would be to have the rolling luggage carts available on every floor. As it was there were only two and they were located on the first floor.
