This is a refreshing retreat in Downtown Providence close to wonderful restaurants, cultural events, and perfect for visiting RISD or Johnson and Wales parents. It was attractive, safe, and clean with very comfortable and quiet rooms - couldn't ask for friendlier staff. They went out of their way to answer questions about the area and to give driving directions in a town that can be a little confusing to get around in. The breakfast was excellent with high quality fresh fruit, yogurts and condiments for the oatmeal in addition to eggs/sausage/waffles, cereals and juices, and offered free coffee/teas 24/7.

Pros:  The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It felt safe, clean and well managed.

Clean, well decorated, nice use of wall and carpet colors, friendly staff, near Brown and Johnson and Wales Universities, shopping, some theaters, good no make that excellent restaurants, nice bars, historic scenery, beautiful scenery, decent grocery stores, nice exercise room, beautiful buildings despite the graffiti, great walking tours from the hotel, close to the train station (Amtrak), walk to everything sized city especially from the hotel.

Pros:  Though, I wrote the hotels location was a seven it had more to do with the homeless people treading nearby, otherwise good location.
Cons:  Lot of homeless begging for money.
