Liked: Loved the closeness to the French Quarter and sightseeing, the pool area, comfortable beds, ease of valet parking and the cool May Bailey’s bar. Valet staff very helpful and the flowers inside the pool area were beautiful!
Disliked: Property, rooms and carpet could use some overall touch up (dings and scratches, etc) and shower curtains need to be much longer to fit properly. Front desk staff not friendly at all the day we checked out

Disliked: Being a bit picky the decor was a bit dark and dated but overall no complaints

Good location

Liked: Good location away from noisy areas but within easy reach of local attractions and restaurants.Helpful man (forgotten his name) arranged a taxi transfer to the airport and helped with luggage.
Disliked: Dreadful smell of damp in the corridor but this was a problem that was being dealt with. Would have been nice to have been informed before we went up to the room. Hotel was generally a little tired. The pool didn't look at all inviting because of being grey. We weren't planning to use it anyway and other guests seemed to enjoy it although they said it was very cold.

Liked: The location was good, right, in the centre but far enough out to be quiet at night. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Rooms need some updating, i.e., some sockets were coming away from the wall. Couldn't get the TV to connect. And need to have better coffee in rooms as it was in bags but didn't taste of anything. It's not very good soundproofing as could hear people in rooms talking and running their taps, but the hotel is old so maybe can't do anything about that.

Liked: All the staff were friendly and helpful. Any requests were dealt with promptly.
Disliked: The room was very dark and dingy. The air temperature was on the cold side all day long. The carpets were old and dirty-looking. The pictures on the website did not prepare me for the reality of this room. There was no view either.

Amazing location.

Liked: Great location. Huge rooms. Clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Morning coffee station was provided but it would have been nice to have a little variety such as tea available too. Or even a breakfast bar.
