Motel needs an upgrade.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Old and run down. Staff not friendly. No bottled water provided on arrival unless you paid $

Liked: The hotel is in a pretty good location with free parking. It was clean.
Disliked: "Regular" checkin time is later than most hotels - 4 p.m. Despite this, I was not allowed to check into my room until 7 p.m. Others in the lobby were in the same situation. I was not compensated and treated rudely by staff. Managers refuse to return calls

Disappointing

Liked: Our room smelled like mildew even though it seemed like it had recently been renovated.
Disliked: It wasn’t as clean as before. The pillows were dirty even though the cases were clean and there was garbage under the pull out bed couch.

The room at Clarion Suites...

Liked: Everything was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The room was very reasonably priced, too, which is very helpful.
Disliked: I can't think of any way it could have been improved.

Liked: The room is spacious with a closing locking door between the living area and the bedroom. Benihana is 20 steps from the hotel; very expensive. Sundry shop next to the front desk and a couple of vending machines for needed items.
Disliked: Under construction. However the noise was mild compared to previous experiences. Bathtub appeared dirty or stained. Mostvif the staff was great. I had one encounter with a staff member that was not okay. If you go you will notice him real quick.

Very good room with separate...

Liked: The room was very good, particularly the extra space for the work desk/sofa, and that in itself was worth it all, as I wake up early to work and my wife could sleep in without disturbance
Disliked: The hotel lobby was not very appealing, the gym was tiny and cramped, and the breakfast was sub-par

Solid Place to Stay in...

Liked: Room was very spacious with a small sitting/work area, kitchnette, refidgerator.Very comfortable bed/mattress and pillows. Nice view of the park behind the hotel.Good TV and wifi service. Fairly conveniently located to downtown (walking distance).Good breakfast (hot and continental) with friendly service.
Disliked: Hotel is under renovation but ok. Faint paint smell in room (3rd floor).No trash receptacle in room (brought from reception after call).Had to run shower/lavatory/kitchenette hot water for 15+ minutes to get hot water.
