The Seashell of Lisson GroveThe Seashell of Lisson Grove, 49 - 51 Lisson Grove, Regents Park, London |
A beloved London institution, The Seashell of Lisson Grove serves up some of the city’s most famous fish and chips in a relaxed, casual setting. Located in Marylebone, just a short walk from key tube stations and a quick ride to major concert venues, this classic spot blends traditional British charm with quick, friendly service. Whether you're grabbing a pre-show bite or winding down post-gig, it’s a favorite for locals and visitors alike.
This spot is a go-to for its fast turnaround and hearty portions, making it ideal for grabbing a satisfying meal before the music starts. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, but not too loud—perfect for chatting about the upcoming show. Its central location makes it especially convenient for concert-goers heading to nearby venues like the Royal Albert Hall, The O2, or Wembley.
Reviewers on TripAdvisor and OpenTable rave about the crispy batter, freshly cooked fish, and friendly, no-fuss service. Many highlight the clean, modern interior and the option to dine in or grab takeaway. It’s been described as a “must-visit” for fish & chips lovers, and regulars praise its consistency and value.
While most reviews are glowing, some mention occasional waits during peak hours—especially before big shows. Also, if you're looking for a fine-dining experience, this more casual, canteen-style vibe might not be for you.
If you're after classic British comfort food served fast and fresh before the show, The Seashell of Lisson Grove is a top choice.
