Located just off N La Cienega Blvd in West Hollywood, The Nice Guy offers an indulgent Italian dining experience with a side of old-school glamour. With its moody lighting, plush leather booths, and vintage-inspired décor, this hotspot channels a speakeasy vibe while serving up elevated Italian comfort food. The lounge-like setting and exclusive feel have made it a favorite among locals, celebrities, and travelers alike. Reservations are strongly recommended — and don’t forget to dress the part: the dress code is smart casual.
Just minutes from some of LA’s top music venues, The Nice Guy is a go-to for pre-show dinner or late-night bites. The dimly lit, energetic atmosphere sets the tone for a night out, and the efficient service makes it possible to enjoy a full meal without missing the opening act. While it’s a trendy spot, it doesn’t get overwhelmingly loud, making it ideal for conversation before the concert buzz kicks in.
Guests rave about the sultry ambiance and consistently delicious food, especially the truffle pizza, spicy rigatoni, and expertly mixed cocktails. Many mention the celebrity sightings and the attentive service that adds an extra layer of exclusivity. Reviewers on TripAdvisor and OpenTable love the “retro-cool” vibe and say it’s perfect for a special occasion or a glam night out before a show.
It’s not the best pick for a quick or budget-friendly bite — prices are on the higher end, and reservations are a must. Some reviews mention that the exclusivity can feel a bit “scene-y,” and the lighting, while atmospheric, can make reading the menu a bit tricky.
If you're looking for a stylish, upscale spot to kick off your concert night in LA, The Nice Guy delivers with flair, flavor, and just the right amount of Hollywood edge.

Linda, Los Angeles
Unfriendly rude hostess who checks reservations at the door. They texted me 3 times to confirm the reservation which I did. Then on the day of the reservation they called me and left a number to call to again confirm. The number had one digit missing so I just called the restaurant and left my message. When we arrived we were told it had been cancelled. They eventually let us in to a totally empty restaurant. It was so dark with uncomfortable seating arrangements that we just left.
Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Girl at the door checking reservations.
