The menu offers a wide range of American classics with global influences, from sushi to Southern comfort food, all served in a vibrant, music-themed atmosphere.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just a short stroll from DC’s top concert venues, The Hamilton is a favorite for pre-show dinners and post-show drinks. The kitchen stays open late, making it a reliable go-to for late-night bites after an encore. Quick yet attentive service ensures you won’t miss your opening act, and the energetic ambiance adds to the concert-day excitement. Bonus: the downstairs live music stage offers its own performances, sometimes featuring national touring acts.

Many mention that The Hamilton is a “go-to” spot for both casual dining and special occasions, especially when paired with a show.

Areas for Improvement

Some diners note that the restaurant can get quite busy and noisy, especially on concert nights, so reservations are strongly recommended. Prices lean toward the higher end for casual American fare, but most agree the quality and location justify the cost.

The Bottom Line

The Hamilton hits all the right notes for concert-goers—central location, late-night hours, great food, and an atmosphere that’s as lively as the show you’re headed to.

l 5 star experience. Food was top notch. We shared the big sticky bun as an appetizer. For entrees we got the crab cake and the chicken and biscuits. They also had a great non-alcoholic drink menu.
