About The Foundry
The Spotlight on The Foundry

Rustic Elegance by the River, Just Steps from the Music

The Foundry is a stylish, rustic-chic restaurant located in Manchester’s lively Millyard District, right on the banks of the Merrimack River. Known as New Hampshire’s largest certified farm-to-table restaurant, it blends contemporary French-American cuisine with locally sourced ingredients and a warm, inviting atmosphere. With its exposed brick walls, open truss ceiling, and live acoustic music, this is a spot that feels both elevated and relaxed—just the kind of place you want before a concert night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Located only minutes from major downtown venues, The Foundry is a convenient pre-show stop that doesn’t skimp on quality. Many reviewers appreciate the efficient service, making it easy to grab a delicious meal before heading out to a show. The live music offered on select nights adds to the upbeat vibe, and the spacious bar area is great for grabbing a quick drink or sharing small plates before the main event. The ambiance hits the sweet spot—energetic but not too loud—so you can still chat without shouting.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, social dinner spot before a concert
  • Solo travelers who want a comfortable seat at the bar and solid food
  • Couples planning a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans who want a lively pre-show atmosphere with craft cocktails
  • Budget-conscious diners who still want a high-quality experience (check out Happy Hour!)

What People Say

Guests rave about the creative cocktail menu, the fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the friendly, attentive staff. The ambiance is repeatedly described as “warm,” “casual yet upscale,” and “perfect for a special night out.” Many diners mention the beautiful river views, especially from the patio during warmer months. The short rib poutine and duck confit come highly recommended, and the seasonal menus keep things interesting for repeat visitors.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that it can get busy on weekends, so reservations are recommended. A few mentioned slightly longer wait times during peak hours, but most agreed it was worth it for the quality of food and experience. Parking can be a minor challenge, especially during events, so plan accordingly.

The Bottom Line

If you’re heading to a concert in downtown Manchester, The Foundry offers stylish, satisfying dining with a vibe that hits the right note before the music starts.
