Elegant Cocktails and Pre-Show Vibes in Historic Bloomsbury

Steps from London’s iconic concert venues and nestled inside the historic Bloomsbury Hotel, The Coral Room is a vibrant cocktail bar with bold, art deco interiors and a dash of English charm. Known for its striking coral-colored walls, high ceilings, and eclectic design, this stylish spot attracts music lovers and locals alike for a classy yet relaxed pre-show experience. Serving up expertly crafted cocktails and a refined menu of light bites, it’s a chic hideaway just off Tottenham Court Road.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and The Coral Room is perfectly placed for catching a show at nearby venues like the Dominion Theatre or the British Museum’s event spaces. The bar offers swift service, making it ideal for a pre-concert drink without the stress. With a buzzy but not overwhelming atmosphere, it’s great for those who want to get into the mood without losing their voice before the main event. Plus, the cocktail list is adventurous and Instagram-worthy—perfect for pre-show photos.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish spot to meet before the show
  • Solo travelers seeking a quiet corner and a world-class Negroni
  • Couples enjoying a romantic night out with live music after
  • Fans who want an upbeat, elegant space to kick off their evening
  • Budget-conscious music fans—while it’s not cheap, sharing small plates can make it affordable

What People Say

Reviewers on TripAdvisor and OpenTable rave about the gorgeous interiors and the creative cocktail list, with many calling it a “hidden gem in central London.” Guests love the friendly, attentive staff and say the bar is perfect for a relaxed but classy meet-up before or after a show. The ambiance strikes a fine balance between lively and intimate, and many mention the drinks are as beautiful as they are delicious.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that while the setting is stunning, the menu can be on the pricier side—especially if you’re ordering multiple rounds. Seating can also be limited during peak hours, so reservations are a smart move if you’re on a schedule before a show.

The Bottom Line

With its central location, chic atmosphere, and standout cocktails, The Coral Room is a top-tier pre-show destination for concert-goers looking to elevate their evening in London.
