Concert-goers appreciate the Capital Grille’s close proximity to venues like the Rosemont Theatre and Allstate Arena—just a quick walk or drive away. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making it a great spot for a pre-show dinner or post-show nightcap. Service is praised for being efficient and polished, which means you can enjoy a full meal without risking your curtain time. The noise level stays comfortably moderate, perfect for conversation before the music starts.
Diners rave about the exceptional food quality, especially the bone-in ribeye and lobster mac & cheese. Many reviewers mention that it’s a perfect place to relax before a show, with a great wine list and a calm, upscale vibe. It’s also noted as a popular spot for special occasions, with guests frequently celebrating birthdays or anniversaries here.
While the experience is top-tier, some guests note that the pricing is on the higher end, which may not be ideal for every budget. A few reviewers mentioned that reservations are recommended, especially on concert nights, as walk-in availability can be limited.

The food was excellent as usual, however our wait staff appeared to cater more to the individuals consuming alcohol than to those of us that were not. Had to eventually (towards the end of our meal) flag down someone to refill our soft drinks and tea. Also the desserts were rather expensive and in my opinion substandard quality. Not what I'd expect from a higher end restaurant.
Liked: Food was excellent.
Disliked: Service not what expected.
