Locally sourced and seasonally inspired, Tavern on Kruse changes it's 'Seasonal Harvest' menus every 8 weeks as we weave the season's perfectly fresh and perfectly ripe bounty into our offerings.
Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star 'Fifth Floor' in San Francisco, working under Laurent Gras (who Celebrity Chef David Chang calls 'the greatest chef in the world'). While there, Chef Nate was part of preparing the 90th birthday party for Julia Child which was made famous in the climax of the movie 'Julie & Julia.' Nate also headed the kitchens at Portland's 'Lucy's Table' and Portland's best-kept culinary secret, the 'Uptown Billiards Club.'
All other on-line reservations will be seated in our dining room. Two thirds of our venue is bar-area seating and is available on a walk-in basis.
