Repeal 33 is a stylish, speakeasy-inspired restaurant tucked into Savannah’s historic district, just a short walk from the city's most popular concert venues. Known for its upscale take on American cuisine with Southern flair, the restaurant offers an atmospheric setting with exposed brick, dim lighting, and a well-curated cocktail list that nods to Prohibition-era sophistication.
Perfect for an elegant pre-show dinner or a late-night bite, Repeal 33 delivers a refined yet relaxed vibe that blends vintage charm with modern culinary creativity.
Location is everything—and Repeal 33 couldn’t be better situated for a night out in Savannah. Just a short stroll from major music venues, it’s a convenient and classy spot to kick off your evening. The kitchen earns praise for its efficient service, making it a great choice if you're tight on time before a show. While the ambiance is vibrant, it's not overly loud, so you can enjoy conversation without shouting across the table.
According to reviews on TripAdvisor and OpenTable, diners love the innovative cocktails and the attention to detail in both service and presentation. The pork belly appetizer and scallops are frequently called out as must-tries. Visitors consistently describe the staff as knowledgeable and friendly, with bartenders who know how to craft a drink that sets the tone for an unforgettable night.
Some guests note that the menu prices lean toward the higher side, so it's not exactly a budget spot for a full meal—though many say the quality justifies the cost. Also, seating can be limited during peak hours, so a reservation is highly recommended if you're trying to squeeze in a meal before the show.
If you're looking for craft cocktails, elevated Southern-inspired fare, and a cool atmosphere just minutes from the music, Repeal 33 hits all the right notes.

My comments above capture most of our wonderful experience. Repeal 33 is not cheap but we felt the quality of the food and service far exceeded the bill. The venue has a great history - another thing the bartender was able to share with us - and the decor really worked together with the outstanding service and food to make our dinner so very special.
Liked: This is what going out for dinner should always be like. We booked a reservation at prior to attending a show at the Lucas Theatre. The restaurant had very good reviews and we see why. We arrived in time for happy hour and had some drinks and the oysters and wings as appys. They were great. Alex the bartender knew a lot about the various beers on tap, bourbons on the shelf and the food giving us some spot on recommendations. We had the chicken snitzel and the largest most tender scallops we have ever seen. We shared the plates and savored every bite. Delicious and very generous portions. The table service matched our experience at the bar - a very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional woman took excellent care of us.
Disliked: None.
