Located on vibrant Cherry Street in Tulsa, Mi Cocina offers a fresh, modern take on traditional Tex-Mex cuisine in a lively, stylish setting. Just a short drive from major concert venues, this spot blends bold flavors, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere — perfect for kicking off a night out. With its spacious dining room and inviting patio, it’s a casual but polished option for concert-goers looking to grab a bite before the show.
Mi Cocina Tulsa is praised for its efficient service, making it easy to enjoy a full meal without stressing about making it to the venue on time. Its location near downtown makes it ultra-convenient for those heading to a show. The vibrant energy and colorful décor set the tone for a fun night, and the upbeat vibe means you won’t feel out of place if you're dressed casually for a live event. Plus, their signature Mambo Taxis (a frozen margarita swirl) are a popular pre-show indulgence.
Diners rave about the freshness of the ingredients and the “consistently delicious” enchiladas and tacos. Many mention the friendly, upbeat staff and fast kitchen turnaround. The restaurant’s clean, modern design and festive atmosphere also get repeated praise, creating a space that feels both relaxed and special. The Mambo Taxi cocktail is mentioned often as a must-try.
Some guests note that it can get a bit noisy during peak hours, which might not suit those looking for a quiet dinner. Others mention that parking can be tight on busy nights, so plan ahead if you’re in a rush to make a show.
Mi Cocina Tulsa is a colorful, energetic Tex-Mex spot that’s perfect for concert-goers who want quick service, bold flavors, and a fun vibe just minutes from the city’s top music venues.
