About Mayrose
The Spotlight on Mayrose

Casual-Chic Dining Just Steps from Portland’s Music Scene

Located inside the Woodlark Hotel in downtown Portland, Mayrose is a stylish, light-filled restaurant that blends classic American comfort food with a modern twist. With its high ceilings, open layout, and vintage-meets-modern décor, it’s the kind of place where you can fuel up in style before a big night out. Whether you're in the mood for a burger, seasonal salad, or a craft cocktail, Mayrose offers a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that’s perfect before or after a show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Mayrose is just a short walk from many of Portland’s top concert venues, making it a prime pre-show dinner spot. The service is known for being prompt and friendly — a big plus when you're on a schedule. The ambiance is energetic without being too loud, so you can still chat and plan your night. There’s also a well-curated cocktail list and a rotating draft beer selection, ideal for kicking off the evening in style.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a lively, central spot
  • Solo travelers who appreciate friendly bar seating and good people-watching
  • Couples wanting a romantic start to their downtown date night
  • Fans wanting a stylish but approachable pre-concert meal
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want quality and ambiance

What People Say

Diners on TripAdvisor and OpenTable praise Mayrose for its inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid menu of American favorites. The brunch options are especially popular, and the cocktails get frequent shout-outs for being both creative and strong. Many note the convenience of the location and the consistency of service, even on busy nights.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers mention that the menu, while well-executed, is slightly limited — so if you’re looking for exotic or highly specific dishes, Mayrose might not be the place. A few guests noted that it can get busy around dinner time, so making a reservation is a smart move, especially on event nights.

The Bottom Line

Stylish, central, and reliably tasty, Mayrose is a go-to for concert-goers wanting good food and great vibes just minutes from Portland’s music venues.

l They have really good breakfast. The open faced breakfast sandwich was really good. I would recommend it. Also very good service and excellent coffee.

l Delicious food. Great attentive staff. My husband drink water a lot so something I watch out for is how often they fill your glass. This place got an A+. Will be back when we come to Portland!
