About Kyma - Flatiron
The Spotlight on Kyma - Flatiron

Stylish Greek Escape in the Heart of Flatiron

Kyma Flatiron brings the flavors and charm of the Mediterranean to Manhattan with a sleek, modern twist. Located on West 18th Street in the vibrant Flatiron District, this upscale Greek restaurant combines whitewashed walls, warm lighting, and a bustling open kitchen to create a lively yet elegant setting. Whether you're gearing up for a concert or winding down after one, Kyma's fresh seafood, traditional Greek dishes, and chic ambiance set the perfect tone.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just a short walk or quick ride from multiple NYC music venues, Kyma is a convenient stop for a pre-show dinner or post-show drink. The space is buzzing yet not too loud, so you can still chat with friends before heading out. Fast, attentive service makes it easy to enjoy a full experience even on a tight concert schedule. Plus, their shareable plates and fresh mezze make it ideal for groups looking to sample a bit of everything without a long wait.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends—easy to share dishes, vibrant energy
  • Solo travelers—welcoming bar and friendly staff
  • Couples—romantic lighting and intimate seating
  • Fans wanting a lively pre-show space—great cocktails and a fun vibe
  • Budget-conscious music fans—while not cheap, the portions are generous and meant for sharing

What People Say

Guests rave about the fresh seafood (especially the grilled octopus and branzino), the chic Greek island-inspired decor, and the upbeat yet polished atmosphere. Service is frequently described as friendly and efficient, with knowledgeable staff happy to guide diners through the menu. The cocktails and wine list also get high marks, especially the ouzo-based drinks for a true Mediterranean touch.

Areas for Improvement

Some diners note that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Prices lean toward the higher end, so it may not be ideal for those looking for a quick budget bite before a show. Also, the lively ambiance might not suit those seeking a quiet, low-key meal.

The Bottom Line

Kyma Flatiron is a stylish and energetic spot with flavorful Greek cuisine that’s perfect for kicking off an unforgettable concert night in NYC.

l Excellent food and service. We loved the Greek salad (what fantastic tomatoes!) and the grilled octopus (perfection!), and the whole lavraki was wonderful. Nice portions. We will be back again!
