About Kisaku
The Spotlight on Kisaku

Fresh Sushi & Chill Vibes Near the Seattle Stage

Kisaku is a friendly, neighborhood sushi spot located in Seattle’s Tangletown area, just a short drive from some of the city’s most popular concert venues. Tucked into a relaxed corner of North 55th Street, this understated gem offers a cozy, casual setting with top-tier sushi and warm service. Whether you're heading to a show at the Paramount or catching live music in Fremont, Kisaku makes for an easy, satisfying pre-show stop.

Why Concert-goers love it

This spot hits all the right notes for music lovers on the move. Quick, attentive service means you won’t be late to the opening act, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough to get you in the right mood for a night out. The sushi comes out fast and fresh, and there’s rarely a long wait—perfect if you're on a schedule. It's also in a quieter part of town, which makes it a great escape before diving into the energy of a live show.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to share sushi rolls and sake before the show
  • Solo travelers wanting a welcoming sushi bar to relax at
  • Couples adding a cozy dinner to a night of live music
  • Fans who want a calm, clean place to get hyped before the concert
  • Budget-conscious music fans who still want high-quality food

What People Say

Reviews on TripAdvisor and OpenTable highlight the fantastic quality of the sushi, especially the omakase options and nigiri. Diners frequently praise the friendly staff and say the restaurant feels “like a hidden gem.” The casual vibe and neighborhood charm get consistent mentions, along with the freshness and presentation of the dishes.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the decor is a bit simple, and while the ambiance is peaceful, it’s not the place for a high-energy start to your night. Parking can also be slightly limited during peak hours, so rideshare might be your best bet if you’re on a tight schedule.

The Bottom Line

Kisaku is a laid-back, high-quality sushi stop that’s perfect for concert-goers looking for flavor, speed, and a calm vibe before the show.

l This is one of the very few places to go for authentic Japanese food in Seattle with reasonable price. Be sure to book a table prior because they are always full.
