Jazz Bistro is a sophisticated, music-infused restaurant located in the heart of downtown Toronto on Victoria Street. Just a short walk from iconic concert venues, this stylish bistro blends elevated dining with a relaxed atmosphere. With rich mahogany interiors, a grand piano as the centerpiece, and modern bistro cuisine, it’s a favorite among locals and visitors alike looking to pair great food with great music.
Jazz Bistro is perfect for pre-show dinners thanks to its close proximity to Toronto’s live music venues and efficient service. With live jazz performances on many evenings, it offers an immersive musical experience even before the main event. The ambiance is lively but not too loud, making it ideal for conversation. Many guests appreciate the timely service that ensures they can dine without feeling rushed before heading to a show.
Guests rave about the intimate atmosphere, excellent acoustics, and the quality of the live jazz acts. Reviews on TripAdvisor and OpenTable highlight the flavorful dishes, especially the lamb shank and seafood options, as well as the friendly and knowledgeable service. Many mention how the restaurant feels like a hidden gem in the heart of the city, offering a truly unique dining experience.
Some diners note that the upstairs seating area can feel a bit removed from the live music, so if you're there for the full jazz experience, request a table on the main floor. A few reviewers mentioned that prices are on the higher side, but most agree the ambiance and quality justify the cost.
For concert-goers seeking a stylish, musically rich dining experience just minutes from Toronto’s top venues, Jazz Bistro hits all the right notes.

Great restaurant in perfect location if going to CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre. Nice atmosphere with Jazz music. Didn’t realize there was a cover charge but that was okay. Appetizer and drinks were delicious but unfortunately could not enjoy the main course of artic char and braised short ribs as we only had 10 mins to eat. Presentation of both entrees was great. I think our orders were overlooked. We inquired three times about our order before it finally arrived. No apologies
Liked: Seated very quickly. Served drinks and appetizers shortly after order placed.
Disliked: Had 10 mins to eat main course therefore not enjoyable at all.
