Winner of 2018 INDY Week's Best Brunch in Wake County & OpenTable's Top 50 Vegetarian Restaurants in the US. When the Irregardless opened in 1975, it was known as the hippie, vegetarian place. Today, the Cafe is the longest operating restaurant in Raleigh with the original owner. It’s hand-crafted meals feature local ingredients. A casual fine dining restaurant, we offer inclusive meals which all respect the environment. Live music is performed nightly, from jazz to bluegrass. Larger bands play on Saturday evenings for dancing.
Due to high volumes of traffic in the Cafe, we can not always guarantee seating at a specific reservation time. Although we are using the word "reservations", in fact, our guests are being put on a list. Our guests, on a weekend, will often encounter a wait. If you have a party larger than 6, please call 919-833-8898 to make a reservation. During holidays, reservations need to made via phone (919-833-8898) and will not be available via OpenTable.
