About Hurricane’s at the Garden
The Spotlight on Hurricane’s at the Garden

Casual, Crowd-Pleasing Bar Right by the Garden

Just steps from Boston’s TD Garden, Hurricane’s at the Garden is a lively American bar and restaurant that’s all about good vibes and game-day energy. With its rustic-industrial interior, large TVs, and classic pub menu, it’s a favorite hangout for sports fans and concert-goers alike. Whether you're grabbing a quick burger or settling in for a few rounds with friends, this Canal Street staple delivers a fun, unpretentious atmosphere right in the heart of the action.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Hurricane’s couldn’t be closer to the music—literally across the street from TD Garden. That means you can relax without worrying about missing the opening act. The crowd picks up pre-show, but service remains quick and efficient, even during a rush. The upbeat, energetic vibe makes it an ideal place to kick off your night with a drink and some comfort food.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a festive spot to fuel up before a show
  • Solo travelers catching their favorite artist and wanting a friendly bar scene
  • Couples squeezing in a casual dinner before a date-night concert
  • Fans wanting a lively pre-show space with TVs and music
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate solid portions and fair prices

What People Say

Reviewers love Hurricane’s for its prime location, laid-back atmosphere, and friendly staff. Many mention the place as the “perfect spot before a game or concert,” with several complimenting the quick service even when it’s packed. The food gets solid marks for being exactly what you want pre-show—hearty, familiar, and satisfying. Bartenders also get shoutouts for being attentive and fun, keeping the energy high before the main event.

Areas for Improvement

It’s not the spot for a quiet meal—noise levels can be high when it’s close to showtime. Some guests note that the menu, while solid, leans toward the typical bar fare and might not impress foodies looking for something adventurous. Seating can also be limited during peak hours, so arriving early helps.

The Bottom Line

If you're headed to a concert and want a no-fuss, high-energy bar with solid eats and unbeatable location, Hurricane’s at the Garden checks all the boxes.

l We came here before the game 7 of Celtics vs. 76ers. Very friendly staff and good food. We watched the game here and wow what an experience that was, plus we got a show from the Celtics cheerleaders.
