About High Noon
The Spotlight on High Noon

Historic Charm and Hearty Steaks in Old Town Albuquerque

Set in a beautifully restored 18th-century adobe building in Old Town Albuquerque, High Noon Restaurant & Saloon blends classic steakhouse fare with rich Southwestern flavors. Just a short drive from many of the city’s top concert venues, this laid-back yet atmospheric spot is known for its warm hospitality, rustic ambiance, and bold flavors. Whether you're kicking off a night of live music or winding down after a show, High Noon offers a welcoming space with a hint of Old West flair.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert-goers appreciate High Noon’s proximity to downtown venues and the practical perks that come with it—ample parking, quick service, and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to grab a great meal before a show. The casual dress code is perfect for fans heading straight to an event, and the restaurant’s spacious interior and cozy bar area make it ideal for groups or solo diners alike. The noise levels are lively but not overwhelming, so you can still catch up with friends before the music starts.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, filling dinner before a concert
  • Solo travelers wanting a friendly, easy-going dining experience
  • Couples making a romantic night of it in historic Old Town
  • Fans who love a buzzy, Western-style pre-show atmosphere
  • Budget-conscious music fans who still want quality steaks and drinks

What People Say

Diners on TripAdvisor and OpenTable often praise the filet mignon and green chile mashed potatoes, calling them “must-try” dishes. The historic setting and attentive service are frequently mentioned as standout features. Visitors love the “relaxed vibe,” especially in the bar, and many say it’s a go-to spot before concerts or events thanks to its reliable food and friendly staff.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the menu is a bit limited for vegetarians, and during peak times, the wait for a table can stretch a bit. But with a reservation or early arrival, it’s usually smooth sailing. A few reviewers also mentioned that the lighting inside can be a little dim for those hoping for bright, Instagram-worthy dinner shots—but it adds to the cozy, rustic charm.

The Bottom Line

With hearty Southwestern fare, a historic vibe, and just minutes from Albuquerque’s music scene, High Noon is a favorite stop for concert-goers looking for a memorable meal before the show.
