Concert-goers appreciate the proximity—just minutes from major Broadway theaters and live music venues. The service is known to be efficient and friendly, making it easy to enjoy a full meal without worrying about making your show on time. The restaurant’s smart-casual vibe strikes the right balance between relaxed and refined, ideal for pre-show excitement without feeling too formal. Plus, the well-paced courses and hearty portions mean you won’t leave hungry.
Reviewers on TripAdvisor and OpenTable rave about the perfectly cooked steaks, generous portions, and classic NYC atmosphere. Many mention the attentive service and how staff go out of their way to accommodate pre-show timelines. The porterhouse and filet mignon earn high praise, and the lobster mac and cheese is often cited as a must-try side. The ambiance is described as "old-school New York" in the best way—cozy, elegant, and full of character.
Some guests note that prices can be on the higher end, especially for drinks and wine. A few mention that the space can get a little tight during peak times, and noise can rise when the dining room is full. But most agree these are small trade-offs for high-quality food and a prime location.
Frankie and Johnnie's Steakhouse is a go-to for concert-goers who want a classic New York steakhouse experience just steps from the stage—flavorful, fast, and full of character.

It was crowded - we were put in the back at a crowded table. I had requested a nice table as it was a birthday dinner. The service was miserable. We would never go back.
