Just a short ride from some of San Francisco’s most iconic music venues, Florio makes for a perfect pre- or post-show dining experience.

The intimate, low-noise atmosphere makes it ideal for conversation without shouting, even during busy hours. Service is known to be quick and attentive, so you can enjoy a full meal and still make your show on time. Plus, the cozy ambiance and sidewalk seating create a relaxing vibe that’s perfect for winding down or gearing up for a big night.

What People Say

Diners rave about the authentic French flavors and consistently well-prepared dishes. The steak frites is a favorite, and many mention the friendly, professional staff. Guests also appreciate the neighborhood charm and the fact that it’s “never too loud”—ideal before heading to a louder venue. The wine list gets frequent praise, especially for those looking to unwind a bit before a show.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviews mention that the bistro can feel a bit tight on space, especially for larger parties. Others note that while the food is excellent, prices can feel a touch high for casual diners—though most agree it’s worth it for the quality and experience.

l Excellent service from the bartender, a nice glass of wine, and some delicious food at Florio! The tagliatelle with bolognese was great, and the fried Brussels sprouts were the perfect complement.
