Corinthian brings a touch of modern elegance to Nottingham city centre with its refined take on British cuisine. Located on Goldsmith Street, it’s just a short walk from several of Nottingham’s popular music venues, making it a convenient and classy stop for concert-goers. With a smart casual dress code and a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, Corinthian offers the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort.
Thanks to its central location, Corinthian is an ideal choice for a pre-show meal or post-gig wind-down. The restaurant is praised for its efficient service, helping guests enjoy a quality meal without feeling rushed. Inside, the ambiance strikes a balance between lively and relaxed—buzzing enough to feel part of the evening’s excitement, but quiet enough for conversation. Whether you're heading to Rock City or the Theatre Royal, grabbing a bite here won’t take you far off track.
Reviews on TripAdvisor and OpenTable highlight the quality of the food, with guests particularly enjoying classic dishes like braised beef, fish and chips, and seasonal vegetarian options. Diners frequently mention the attentive service and the welcoming atmosphere. Many note that it’s a great place to start an evening out in Nottingham, with several calling it a hidden gem for pre-theatre or pre-gig dining.
Some guests have noted that while the food is excellent, the menu can be a bit limited for those with specific dietary needs. A few mentioned that the restaurant can get busy around showtime, so booking ahead is a smart move. Noise levels can rise during peak times, but that’s part of the pre-show buzz for many.
If you're looking for a stylish, centrally located British restaurant to fuel up before a concert, Corinthian is a solid and satisfying choice in the heart of Nottingham.

New restaurant opened at the beginning of the year tucked away close to the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on Goldsmith Street. Would never have known it was there but for ConcertHotels.co.uk. Small but beautiful setting in the masonic lodge opposite the University of Nottingham building. Excellent food and service. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys fine dining.
Liked: Hidden gem in Nottingham; highly recommended.
