About Cibo Vino
The Spotlight on Cibo Vino

Artisan Italian Fare in Omaha’s Historic Old Market

Located in the heart of Omaha’s Old Market District, Cibo Vino serves up classic and contemporary Italian dishes in a stylish, rustic-modern space. This locally-owned gem combines a warm atmosphere with culinary craftsmanship, just a short walk from many of downtown Omaha’s top music venues. With exposed brick, soft lighting, and an inviting bar, it’s the kind of place where you can unwind with a glass of wine and a plate of handmade pasta before heading to a show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Proximity is key—Cibo Vino is just minutes from popular venues like the Steelhouse Omaha and Holland Performing Arts Center, making it ideal for a pre-show meal. Guests frequently mention the efficient service, which helps ensure you're out the door in plenty of time for your event. The ambiance is lively without being overwhelming, offering a great place to get into the concert spirit without losing your voice over dinner. While there's no official pre-show menu, the variety of small plates and pastas make it easy to customize your dining experience based on your schedule.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to share a bottle of wine and a few appetizers
  • Solo travelers wanting a seat at the bar and a quick, quality bite
  • Couples planning a romantic dinner before a big show
  • Fans seeking a lively pre-show vibe in a classy setting
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a polished dining experience

What People Say

Reviewers on TripAdvisor and OpenTable rave about the house-made pasta, flavorful charcuterie boards, and a thoughtfully curated wine list. The bartenders get high marks for their cocktail-making skills, and many diners mention the attentive but not intrusive service. The ambiance strikes a balance between upscale and cozy, perfect for date nights or casual dinners before a night out.

Areas for Improvement

While most love the atmosphere, a few guests have noted that the restaurant can get a bit loud during peak hours. Reservations are also recommended, especially on weekends or when there's a big show in town, as tables can fill up fast. And although prices are fair for the quality, it may not be the best pick for those seeking a quick budget meal.

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for great Italian food just steps from Omaha’s concert scene, Cibo Vino delivers with flavor, atmosphere, and convenience.
