About Becco
The Spotlight on Becco

Classic Italian Comfort in the Heart of NYC’s Theater District

Becco is a warm, inviting Italian restaurant nestled on bustling Restaurant Row in Manhattan’s Theater District. Just a short walk from many of New York City’s top concert halls and Broadway theaters, this beloved spot by celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich offers a rustic, trattoria-style ambiance with a focus on hearty Italian fare and approachable wines.

Known for its famous all-you-can-eat pasta special, Becco is a crowd-pleaser for anyone looking to fuel up before a big night out. The casual dress code and friendly atmosphere make it a go-to for locals and visitors alike.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Becco delivers. Just minutes from popular venues in Midtown, it’s ideal for a pre-show dinner. The restaurant is praised for its efficient service, meaning you can enjoy a full meal without worrying about missing the opening act. The pre-fixe menu and pasta deal offer a satisfying yet fast dining experience, perfect for making the most of your evening.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, shared pasta experience
  • Solo travelers craving a comforting Italian meal before a show
  • Couples on a romantic weekend in NYC
  • Fans wanting a lively, buzzing atmosphere before heading to a concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate value (hello, unlimited pasta!)

What People Say

Diners rave about the unlimited pasta trio, which changes daily and always includes vegetarian options. The wine list is surprisingly affordable, especially given the area, and the staff is consistently described as attentive and welcoming. Many reviewers mention how smoothly their dinner fit into their concert or theater plans, even on busy nights.

Areas for Improvement

Becco can get very crowded, especially around showtimes, so reservations are a must. The space is cozy, which adds charm but can also mean a noisy dining room during peak hours. Some guests note that the pasta, while plentiful, can feel a bit basic depending on the day's offerings.

The Bottom Line

With its unbeatable location, quick service, and comforting Italian classics, Becco hits all the right notes for concert-goers looking to dine well and get to the show on time.

Becco offers terrific food at a moderate price point. No wonder it is a popular spot for pre-theater. Try the swordfish or the signature pasta dishes. Delicious!

Liked: Becco has terrific fast service, especially considering the fine quality of the food. My swordfish was juicy and delicious; my husband's pulled pork good but perhaps too potato heavy. The Ceasar salad was old-fashioned good, not like the standard issue salad you usually encounter. Super bread and olives to start come with the meal. Becco offers good bottles of wine at an affordable price point, too. I will definitely return.
Disliked: Nothing.
