Set in a converted Victorian townhouse on charming Cumberland Street, Bar Reyna brings a stylish Mediterranean vibe to one of Toronto's most upscale neighborhoods. With its whimsical decor, lush all-season patio, and shareable menu of creative small plates, this spot is ideal for those looking to unwind before heading out to a nearby show. The ambiance is both elegant and relaxed, blending Yorkville sophistication with a laid-back, social energy.
Bar Reyna is a short walk from major downtown Toronto venues, making it a convenient stop for pre-concert dining. The menu of mezze and Mediterranean-inspired tapas means food comes out quickly and is perfect for sharing, whether you're fueling up solo or with friends. The indoor-outdoor setup offers a buzzy yet not overwhelming atmosphere, and the covered patio is a great option for those who want a lively vibe without the noise of a packed concert bar. Fast, friendly service helps you stay on schedule.
Guests rave about the beautiful decor, calling the patio a "hidden gem" and "Instagram-worthy." The cocktails get high marks for creativity, and the lamb sliders, halloumi, and spanakopita are consistent favorites. Many reviews praise the attentive yet unintrusive staff, and the vibe is described as both "elegant" and "fun." It’s the kind of place where you can dress up just enough, but still feel relaxed.
Some guests note that the small plate portions can be just that—small—so if you’re really hungry, you might need to order a few extras. The space can fill up quickly on weekends, so reservations are recommended. A few mentioned the music can be a bit loud indoors, but the patio is a quieter option.
If you're looking for a stylish, quick, and flavorful Mediterranean spot in walking distance of Toronto’s top music venues, Bar Reyna hits all the right notes.

A unique and delicious experience. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and will definitely go back.
Liked: Fun sharing plates. Wonderful variety of textures and flavours.
Disliked: The back of the restaurant is a totally enclosed patio. We asked to be relocated as our original table was a bit drafty. The hostess moved us very graciously.
