About Bacio Pizzeria
The Spotlight on Bacio Pizzeria

Laid-Back Pizza Spot Just Minutes from DC's Live Music Action

Bacio Pizzeria is a cozy, no-frills neighborhood gem in the Eckington/Bloomingdale area of Washington, DC. This casual pizzeria is known for its hand-tossed, New York-style pizza with a crispy thin crust and fresh toppings. It’s a local favorite for pre-show bites thanks to its friendly vibe, quick service, and generous portions. Located just a short drive or walk from several of DC’s top music venues, it’s an easy stop before a night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Bacio Pizzeria is a hit with music fans for its fast, counter-service setup and laid-back atmosphere—perfect if you're on a tight schedule before a show. Many guests mention how it’s quiet enough to chat, even with a lively crowd, and there’s rarely a wait, making it ideal for grabbing a slice or a whole pie before heading out. Its location near popular venues like 9:30 Club and Echostage makes it a convenient pitstop.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to share a pizza before the music starts
  • Solo travelers wanting a quick, satisfying meal
  • Couples enjoying a relaxed night out
  • Fans seeking a chill, affordable pre-show hangout
  • Budget-conscious concert-goers who want value without sacrificing taste

What People Say

Reviewers consistently praise the pizza's crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella. Many say it’s among the best pizza in the neighborhood. The friendly staff and efficient service also get high marks, with several guests noting their orders were ready within minutes. The casual, clean setting makes it feel like a neighborhood secret.

Areas for Improvement

While the food gets rave reviews, Bacio Pizzeria is more of a grab-and-go or quick dine-in spot—not ideal if you're looking for full table service or a lingering dinner. Seating is limited, especially during peak hours, so plan ahead if you're with a large group. Also, they don’t serve alcohol, which might be a downside if you're hoping for a pre-concert drink.

The Bottom Line

Bacio Pizzeria is a stress-free, tasty option for concert-goers needing a fast, flavorful meal just minutes from DC’s top music venues.

l Great pizza and calazone. Service not so great. Maybe that is why they automatically add on a 20% tip. I usually add a 20% tip or even more if service is good. That is tacky to add your own tip.
