About Amarone
The Spotlight on Amarone

Classic Italian Elegance in the Heart of Bath

Set inside the beautifully restored Beau Nash House, Amarone offers a refined Italian dining experience just moments from Bath’s buzzing live music spots. This stylish and intimate restaurant blends the charm of period features—think high ceilings and grand windows—with a modern, polished interior. With its central location and relaxed yet upscale vibe, Amarone is a go-to for those looking to elevate their evening out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Amarone’s central location makes it an easy stop before or after a show, especially if you're heading to venues around the city centre. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, offering a serene spot to unwind before the excitement of a concert. Service is frequently praised as efficient and attentive, so it’s possible to enjoy a full, satisfying meal without feeling rushed. While there’s no specific pre-show menu, the à la carte selection is diverse and well-paced for those on a schedule.

Who this Restaurant is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to share antipasti and wine before the show
  • Solo travelers after a relaxed, quality meal in a welcoming atmosphere
  • Couples seeking a romantic dinner before a night of music
  • Fans wanting a quieter, upscale space to gather pre-concert
  • Budget-conscious music fans who still want a touch of luxury — there are affordable pasta and pizza options

What People Say

Diners consistently mention the authentic Italian flavours, from fresh seafood linguine to rich risottos. The wine list, featuring a strong selection of regional Italian bottles, is a standout. Many reviewers highlight the spacious layout and tasteful decor, making it perfect for conversation. Staff are frequently described as warm, knowledgeable, and prompt, helping guests feel well looked after without delays.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that prices can be slightly higher than expected, especially for drinks. While the elegant setting is part of the charm, it’s not the liveliest option if you’re looking for a high-energy pre-show buzz. Also, it can fill up fast on weekends, so booking ahead is recommended.

The Bottom Line

If you’re after a polished, authentic Italian meal in a beautiful setting just a short walk from Bath’s music venues, Amarone is a top-tier choice for concert-goers who like to dine in style.

l Lovely restaurant but such a shame they no longer have the calamari, artichoke and prawn sharing plate. It was the best calamari I’ve ever had!
