The Spotlight on YOTEL Edinburgh

Smart, stylish stays in the heart of Edinburgh

Modern and minimal with a futuristic edge, YOTEL Edinburgh brings high-tech design and comfort to one of the city's most walkable neighborhoods. Just off Queen Street, this 4-star hotel puts you minutes from iconic attractions and several live music venues. Expect sleek interiors, air-conditioned rooms, and a strong city vibe — perfect for travelers who like their stays as smart as their smartphones.

Built in 2019, the hotel has a crisp, new feel, offering free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and a buzzing on-site bar. Rooms come equipped with flat-screen TVs, satellite channels, and city views in selected units.

Why Concert-goers love it

Music fans will appreciate the central location — you’re within walking distance of Edinburgh Playhouse, Usher Hall, and other top venues. Need a quick getaway after the encore? Edinburgh Waverley train station is nearby, and 24-hour reception makes late check-ins a breeze. Despite its central setting, noise isn’t a major issue thanks to the hotel’s modern build and well-insulated rooms.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to stay close to the action
  • Solo travelers catching a dream show
  • Couples turning a gig into a weekend getaway
  • Fans wanting a calm, modern space to wind down
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting value without cutting corners

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no full-service restaurant, the on-site bar offers drinks and small bites in a sleek setting. For late-night cravings, there are plenty of eateries and pubs within a short walk. Breakfast is also available — ideal if you’ve had a late night and need a slow start.

Nightlife Options

You're right in the middle of Edinburgh's vibrant nightlife scene. Whether you're heading to a live set or winding down post-show, you’ll find trendy cocktail bars, traditional pubs, and laid-back lounges nearby. For a quieter vibe, the hotel bar is a great place to grab a local drink without leaving the building.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, modern design and the convenience of keyless entry and smart room controls. Many reviews highlight the friendly, multilingual staff and the unbeatable location for exploring both cultural sites and music venues. Fast Wi-Fi and comfortable beds also get regular shout-outs.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are compact — think smart design rather than sprawling suites — so travelers with lots of luggage may find space a bit tight. Some guests mention a desire for more on-site dining options, especially late at night.

The Bottom Line

YOTEL Edinburgh is a sleek, central base that hits all the right notes for concert-goers looking for comfort, convenience, and modern style.

Four Day Stay

Liked: The breakfast was adequate, but little in the way of variety day-to-day.Always busy and queuing on 2 of the 4 days we were there. Far to small for the amount of people staying there. The rooms were clean & modern.
Disliked: On the whole a good stay. The 'Revolve' bar was somewhat antiquated and in need of a re-vamp. The furnishings were uncomfortable & in need of replacement.Tables were often sticky and in need of a good wipe.Bar staff were helpful

Liked: It was clean and comfortable and good value for the money. The breakfast was good, and I was able to store my bag so I could go exploring for the day on checkout.

very uncomftorble with pod room...

Liked: Staff very friendly, location verry good, good comfy bed
Disliked: room was a small pod room, with not enough room for anything, i am 6ft 4 tall and the toilet door could not close because my legs stuck out of door, the towels where hung over toilet in which i felt it was un hegienic, no windows and my wife suffers with COPD and the fan air was dry which made my wife cough constant, it was too clostiphobic, too small and could not hang all our clothes, could not place our washing facilities, make up etc as no shelving by the tiny sink my wife did go to reception to explain, staff did say for the £800 just on paid, was for the tiny pod room, this was not explained on the website when booking also breakfast was cold and items uncooked, and only had toast the on the 3 days there, 1st day left the breakfast
