This delightful Country House Hotel in the historic city of York offers free Wi-Fi and on-site parking for nominal charge.There is a park and ride service just outside the door so you can enjoy both the history of the city and the tranquil setting of a country house. York Pavilion Hotel offers a wide range of individually designed bedrooms ranging from standard rooms to four poster bedrooms. All are en suite and all have a flat-screen TV a large working desk and a fan for hot summer days. York Pavilion Hotel has 2 courtyard gardens a bar serving local specialties bar snacks and afternoon teas are available daily. There are comfortable lounges where you can read the daily papers enjoy a morning coffee and relax beside an open log fire on chilly winter evenings. There are brilliant walks right from the hotel along the river bank and a 30-minute stroll will take you to the beautiful old city. Fulford Golf Club and York University are both just 5 minutes' drive away. Wouldn’t recommend or stay again

Liked: The outside space is very pretty.
Disliked: I paid extra to upgrade our room and was very disappointed. We stayed in the queen four poster room which wasn’t clean, badly stained carpet, and a very outdated bathroom. We only had a view of a roof from both windows. The breakfast was mediocre too.

Superb

Liked: Very beautiful hotel with vintage elements. Rooms are comfortable and beds are nice. You can enjoy a nice bath and have a good night's sleep.Location is very nice with a bus stop right outside the hotel
Disliked: The charge for the car parking is extra £15/day.You are already paying the stay so it is too much as an extra charge.

Good staff, location OK but...

Liked: Good beds. Nice car. Good service but closed early.
Disliked: Bar closed early. Bathroom had a lot of ground in dirt. Needs a steam clean. Not the fault of the domestic staff - they don’t have time! It needs a deep clean and maybe refurbishing tiles, and bedroom carpets
