This delightful Country House Hotel in the historic city of York offers free Wi-Fi and on-site parking for nominal charge.There is a park and ride service just outside the door so you can enjoy both the history of the city and the tranquil setting of a country house. York Pavilion Hotel has 2 courtyard gardens a bar serving local specialties bar snacks and afternoon teas are available daily. There are comfortable lounges where you can read the daily papers enjoy a morning coffee and relax beside an open log fire on chilly winter evenings. There are brilliant walks right from the hotel along the river bank and a 30-minute stroll will take you to the beautiful old city. Fulford Golf Club and York University are both just 5 minutes' drive away. A high quality hotel. Will...

Liked: Perfect location for the University. Large, secure car park. Quick, efficient check-in by genial receptionist. Sensible dinner menu with steaks and 'classics' , well cooked and served. Wine list detailed wines by bottle or class at reasonable prices. warm comfortable attic room. Good shower.
Disliked: Small things: £10 per/night for parking. This number plate recognition for remote exit but failed to work. Piped maudlin Jazz music at dinner and breakfast. The quality of the bread at dinner and again as toast at breakfast which detracted from the standard of cooking

Nice quaint spot for a...

Liked: Charming and quaint
Disliked: Walls were so thin -we could not only hear a conversation next door but also someone snoring even with earplugs
