It met completely our expectations,...

Liked: The breakfast options are great, either a standard continental or a full English on top of that. I do recommend having it as it just improves the value of the stay.
Disliked: Nothing at all, I loved our stay at the YHA Truleigh

Liked: Brilliant place to stay ... Cafe is open from 7.30am to 8 pm ... serving great food .... If you are staying there, there is also a self catering kitchen.I only stayed a couple of days, but hope to go back next year for longer and enjoy the walking / hanging out !It is a dark sky reserve !
Disliked: Wifi is a bit dodgy / weak !

Room for improvement

Liked: Reasonably priced accommodation for an overnight stay before a ferry crossing.
Disliked: We were expecting basic facilities due to the nature of Youth Hostels. However, the sanitary facilities were very run down, to the point that we felt cleaner not using them.The desk staff were friendly at check-in but unfortunately a few days previously when enquiring about late check-in (not possible due to operating hours), I got through to someone looking for an argument! Not the customer service I expected. Maybe they were having a bad day...
