Cheap and cheerful in a...

Liked: Lovely peaceful location and a beautiful old building. Plenty of local walks. Friendly communal areas with board games. Bed was really comfy and it was really quiet just after 11. Great value for an overnight stay. As other comments WiFi only in the lounge area so you can’t get much out of your phone in room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Kitchen areas all clean.
Disliked: Bathrooms a bit tired but for price can’t complain.

Utterly perfect stay overnight with...

Liked: Incredible staff. Can't get over how welcome we were made to feel. Lovely atmosphere. They went above and beyond an dclearly enjoyed their jobs. Please pass on our thanks. We did a wonderful evening walk round the grounds too.

Perfect spot for walking and...

Liked: Location was perfect, just 5 mins walk from the Monsal Trail, really quiet, loads of walks from the door - great not to have to drive somewhere first. Such a lovely old building too = a privilege to stay there.Every single member of staff was lovely, friendly and helpful which made our stay even better. Food was great and nice to have the option of an evening meal on the premises after an early start and a long walk during the day.
Disliked: We were in room 3 and the generator below the window was quite noisy at 7am.
