The Spotlight on YHA London Earl's Court

Affordable Vibes in a Prime Location

Modern and no-frills, YHA London Earl's Court is a classic hostel-style stay in upscale Kensington, offering affordable accommodations for every type of music lover. Just a 5-minute walk from Earl's Court Tube Station, it's an ideal base for exploring London’s legendary music scene. The hostel blends budget-conscious travel with a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

Why Concert-goers love it

With easy access to the Tube and multiple concert venues just minutes away, getting to and from your show is a breeze. The 24-hour reception is perfect for late-night returns, and shared spaces like the TV lounge and self-catering kitchen make it easy to connect with fellow fans or wind down after the encore. While it’s a lively area, the hostel itself offers a surprisingly quiet and relaxed overnight stay.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a social and affordable place to crash
  • Solo travelers ticking off a bucket-list show
  • Couples making a weekend of gigs and sightseeing
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space, especially in private rooms
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want to stay central without breaking the bank

Food and Drink Options

The on-site café serves a continental breakfast—ideal for those mornings after a late night out. You’ll also find snacks available throughout the day, and the shared kitchen lets you whip up a quick meal anytime. For more variety, you're within walking distance of plenty of Kensington eateries open late.

Nightlife Options

You're just a short walk or Tube ride from some of London’s best nightlife—from intimate pubs to buzzing clubs. The hostel itself is a great place for a pre-show hang thanks to communal lounges and board games at reception, but for live music and craft drinks, you’ll find better options nearby.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff, convenient location, and great value. The atmosphere is described as safe, clean, and sociable, especially for solo travelers. Many highlight the easy access to concerts and museums as a bonus.

Areas for Improvement

This is a hostel, so expect bunk beds in most rooms and shared facilities unless you book a private. The vibe is more functional than luxurious, and Wi-Fi can be patchy in some areas. But for the price and location, it’s a fair trade.

The Bottom Line

YHA London Earl's Court is a budget-friendly, well-connected base for concert-goers who want to stay central and social without overspending.

Bad Receptionist Assistance

Liked: Only cleanliness is good. Cleaners are very good at all times. Good kitchen/shower/toilet facilities.
Disliked: A receptionist refused my special request despite having availability saying: " I dont change it. You ask to many things. No. ". Also, I had an incident with some guests and again did not take any action.

Liked: Its one of the best hostels I have stayed.Area around is very beautiful, not noisy. Most of the time I walk to the main interesting things in the London (only couple time took Metro when I was tired)I took the women room, first time when it wasn't mixed. I was lucky to get first-floor bed. The room was in the basement, but because of the big window, it was bright enough. I took my own locker and towel, so I'm not sure that are the prices for themThe kitchen had everything that needed, and also, I like the backyardThe shower was good and clean. It was difficult to take a shower and don't make other clothes wet, but it's hostel, I think it's not criticalToilets were clean
Disliked: I think it for money/value its great choice. I didn't find anything critical

A great place to stay...

Liked: Long story short: this is an amazing hostel and a great place to stay when in London! The people are lovely, the location is great and you get exactly what you ask for when you want to stay in a hostel.Long story long: When we were looking for a stay in London, we found out that there were two categories: either completely and utterly beyond our budget OR having the worst reviews possible - in not few cases, both. You can imagine the joy when we discovered YHA and this one at Earl's Court specifically, which was not only payable but mostly also had great reviews. When we arrived, the reception was very cheerful and polite and our room was exactly as we needed it to be: simple but clean and tidy. This is not an high end hotel, no, it's a youth hostel - and it delivered on all the promises that come with that title, and lacked the negative aspects one might associate with it.
Disliked: We disliked nothing really. One MIGHT not love the jailhouse-esque design of the room, with beds on top of another and bars on the window? But hey, you ARE free to leave the room as long and as often as you wish ;)One MIGHT not love the breakfast (~£5,90) which has toast, croissants, chocolate croissants, fruit, butter, different jams, cereals, tea, juice and coffee - but our daughter really liked all the sweet options, and the coffee was fine!

Liked: Convenient location to Earl’s Court Station, quiet street while still being close to central London. Nice location to walk to the museums.
Disliked: No privacy curtains and not the most comfortable beds.
