The Spotlight on YHA London Earl's Court

Affordable Vibes in a Prime Location

Modern and no-frills, YHA London Earl's Court is a classic hostel-style stay in upscale Kensington, offering affordable accommodations for every type of music lover. Just a 5-minute walk from Earl's Court Tube Station, it's an ideal base for exploring London’s legendary music scene. The hostel blends budget-conscious travel with a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

Why Concert-goers love it

With easy access to the Tube and multiple concert venues just minutes away, getting to and from your show is a breeze. The 24-hour reception is perfect for late-night returns, and shared spaces like the TV lounge and self-catering kitchen make it easy to connect with fellow fans or wind down after the encore. While it’s a lively area, the hostel itself offers a surprisingly quiet and relaxed overnight stay.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a social and affordable place to crash
  • Solo travelers ticking off a bucket-list show
  • Couples making a weekend of gigs and sightseeing
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space, especially in private rooms
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want to stay central without breaking the bank

Food and Drink Options

The on-site café serves a continental breakfast—ideal for those mornings after a late night out. You’ll also find snacks available throughout the day, and the shared kitchen lets you whip up a quick meal anytime. For more variety, you're within walking distance of plenty of Kensington eateries open late.

Nightlife Options

You're just a short walk or Tube ride from some of London’s best nightlife—from intimate pubs to buzzing clubs. The hostel itself is a great place for a pre-show hang thanks to communal lounges and board games at reception, but for live music and craft drinks, you’ll find better options nearby.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff, convenient location, and great value. The atmosphere is described as safe, clean, and sociable, especially for solo travelers. Many highlight the easy access to concerts and museums as a bonus.

Areas for Improvement

This is a hostel, so expect bunk beds in most rooms and shared facilities unless you book a private. The vibe is more functional than luxurious, and Wi-Fi can be patchy in some areas. But for the price and location, it’s a fair trade.

The Bottom Line

YHA London Earl's Court is a budget-friendly, well-connected base for concert-goers who want to stay central and social without overspending.

Top hostel in London

Liked: One of the best hostels in London they don't allow drug people like many other hostels seem to now, and it's a friendly place with helpful staff and relatively spacious and peaceful, with at least one room a quiet area most of the time and a spacious garden
Disliked: Not always that keen on dormitories but as good as they comeAlthough the beds were well laid out, curtains around them might be nice

I would definitely recommend this...

Liked: Yha Earl’s court is an amazing hostel. With the staff being friendly and helpful and facilities maintained in good cleaning standards and comfortable. The rooms had theirs own small luggage storage inside which is good and beds are equipped with charging points and a small light. Location is in a super fancy area, and also feels very safe. I would recommend it. Thanks
Disliked: Although mattresses were a little hard, they are not bad. It’s comfortable for a few days stay.

It was a good stay...

Liked: I enjoyed the breakfast, the friendly staff and the location. I needed some shampoo. I don't know if you could provide me some with a small fee.
Disliked: Someone was checked in at 1:00 am midnight. He was looking for his bed making a bit of noise and I waked up. It's better to close checkin time after a specific time. The fan was also making noise. If turned off the rooms got hot. Could you replace it with another with less noise?

Great value for the price

Liked: - Great location, close to the underground, nice neighbourhood -Room was alright, bed was comfortable enough, - Showers and toilets were clean, there were no queues
Disliked: - Beds could have some curtains to give more privacy-More shelves in the showers would be needed

Nice place, nice staff

Liked: The location was very comfortable, the facilities were nice especially the common areas such as the kitchen and the garden. My room has an open window so I had nice air flow.
Disliked: The room was tiny, I don’t think it’s worth its price. I heard the water stream from my room every time when people showered or went to the toilets.I had to flush the toilet so many times because the people used it before me didn’t do it themselves.

Affordable family stay in central...

Liked: Ace location, plenty of food outlets to choose from, walking distance to VnA and Natural History museums. Earls Court tube a short distance away. The mattresses seemed thicker than other YHAs we've stayed at.The pizzas at the Yha were very good. Excellent selection of drinks.Oat milk and soya yoghurt were available at breakfast on request. Nice.
Disliked: Hard to sleep, its a creaky old building and we were downstairs so heard every thump and bump. Cant be helped with these old buildings. Earplugs available at reception.Looks like under the beds dont get hoovered so quite a sneezy sleep on the bottom bunk.
