Disliked: My daughters and I were staying in the hotel for one night. It was cheap and we didn't expect anything much. But at least do good vacuuming and put clean pillowcase would be really great. And now the biggest surprise after a couple of weeks: Parking Charge. Must tell that when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist asked my car registration number so I don't get a parking charge. I made a parking charge payment because I didn't want to pay full charge. Contacted the hotel, and they said that because I made payment, they can't do anything anymore. If I hadn't paid, they would have contacted the company, and I wouldn't have had to pay the penalty. So this isn't the first time there are problems with parking. Now, due to the fault of the hotel, I have lost 35GBPIn total, I have paid 85GBP for a dirty hotel.

Liked: I love the hostel and staff were so helpful and friendly .I will definitely come back . The location is just so peaceful and interesting. I really enjoy staying in amongst history and nature
Disliked: Only reason I reduced the facilities score was that the heating on first night was unbelievably hot and sleep was difficult . This was a problem for many guests . staff explained their issues with the boiler system , offered fans and thankfully turned it off for rest of our stay. I hope the heating system can be upgraded as it seems such a hassle for staff to cope with , waste of money for the hostel and not great for environment . Wifi didn't work on my phone consistently but luckily it was OK for my niece so she was able to sort it.

Fun, local to the victorian...

Liked: Continental breakfast was OK. Cooked breakfast was cold. The hostel was a great way for yhe kids to meet other people.Good value for money.Sleeping in bunk beds was fun for the whole family.
Disliked: I would have liked the bathroom to be cleaned before we arrived. advertised the room with a double and 2 bunk beds. There are no double beds in this hostel.
