Amazing Place. Highly recommended
Liked: The lcoation is amazing, exactly in the middle of a mountain with a waterfall just a few steps away and a stream of water flowing next to YHA. The staff was amazing and self catering kitchen was good
Disliked: There are few bathrooms for so many guests. Some washroom tissues were missing.

Liked: A historical gem of a youth hostel in am iconic spot in Glenridding..Its remote location affords peace and quiet with immediate access to some of the most striking fells the lakes has to offer.
Disliked: Youth hostel etiquette is something that is not taught at school nowadays. It is up to the guests to pull their weight and unfortunately later in the weekend some hostel users had left dirty pots and spills.

Liked: Simple but very clean room in an unbeatable location, right on the path to Helvellyn. Breakfast was great and the staff were extremely helpful. The route to get there wasn’t the easiest, but I received very clear directions beforehand, which made it much smoother. Perfect base for hiking!

Liked: Amazing location. Only thing we struggled with was to drive down the long track to the YHA in our tiny car. No fault of the hostel, just putting it out there. Staff were welcoming and the room and toilets were nice, as well as a drying area for wet clothes!
