A lovely and easy stopping...
Liked: We had a lovely and relaxing stay here. We hadn’t been to the Lake District before and prices were outrageous to book last minute so we chose YHA Hawkshead as it was reasonable, not knowing what to expect. Our room fit our family of four, had an en suite toilet and shower, and the bedding was very comfortable. We had dinner on site and really enjoyed being able to relax and eat together in a quiet dining room overlooking beautiful countryside. The staff were very friendly. The village and Beatrix Potter’s house were both very close by.

Not for families
Liked: Sink in the room
Disliked: It was in the middle of nowhere, the route to the hotel is like roller-coaster. We booked premium bell tent but there was nothing premium in it. It was smelly, the shared bathroom and toilet facility was not great either so we asked to swap the tent for the room. Room was not smelly at least but there was nothing else. Shared toilets and shred bathroom again. I had to flush the toilet myself as the previous visitor left their valuables in it, then cleaned it with my bare hands before putting my back side on it, hand dryer was out of order and no paper towel. No towels in the room and no tea or any other thing in the room just walls and beds and a sink in the room which was nice.I would not call it hotel at all. It is a hostel.I expect the management and booking.com to declare it hostel and not hotel. It was no where near to a 3 star hotel.
